Crazy Kart Major Update - New Karts and Map!
Last week we had a major update for our online racing game, Crazy Kart. Several new racing carts were added in the item mall and all of them had really crazy and fun designs. One actually looked like a gigantic tank - compelte with the gun in front, hahaha! Anyway, check out the list of items released after the jump.
Karte De Guerra - Ang Kart na kinakatakutan ng mga ibang racers. Who would want to go up against a speeding tank?
Daddy Long Legs - The next evolution in all terrain kart technology. Ang Daddy Long Legs ay tiyak na papatok sa mga mahihilig dumaan sa tabi tabi.
Boat Kart - Ang Signature kart ni Zode. Ang Boat Kart ay dating pirate ship niya na coverted for Crazy Kart action!
Kalesa - Gamit ang kart na ‘to, tiyak na mapapakita mo ang iyong style! Nothing beats the fine lines and antique flair of the Kalesa Class.
Add new and wacky bling bling to your crazy karts to make it look crazier!
Mumu Ball - Kikilabutan sa takot ang mga naiwanan mong kalaban. With the Mu-Mu accessory pcyche out your opponents even before you beat them!
Carp Streamer - Ang Carp Streamer ay sinasabi na swerte sa mga gumagamit nito. Malas naman ang makakakita nito sa harap nila dahil ibig sabihin naunahan na sila.
Bantay - Ang loyal na doggie na si Bantay ay nandito para siguraduhin na hindi mananakaw ang kart mo habang naka-park. Bantay will surely melt your heart.

Puppy Paint - Gawing mas adorable ang Pinak Benz gamit ang napaka-cute na paint theme na ito.
Castle Paint - Kung sa tingin mo bigatin na ang Bakal Express, subukan mo gamitin ang Castle Paint scheme at gawing bato at semento ang kart mo!
Tiger Cub Paint - Ilabas ang wild side! Gamitin ang paint scheme na ito at tiyak na mas babangis ang iyong Red Devil ATV!
Lion Paint - Gamitin lang ang Lion Paint scheme at tiyak di lang basta hari ang tingin sa ‘iyo, hari pa ng daan!
Athletic Shoes - Isa pang unique na paint scheme para sa Pinak Benz. Gamit ang Athletic Shoes paint, tataas ang traction ng Pinak Benz (may libre pang air freshener para hindi mang-amoy paa.)

Happy Halloween Everyone! Rawr!
Hi guys! I just wanted to greet everyone a happy halloween! Grabe, time really flies by so fast. In just a matter of days we’ll be closing 2008 and we’ll move on to 2009. But the year is not over yet! There’s still so many things that’s in store for the Level Up community for November and December. Let me try to give you guys a preview on what Level Up has in store for the last two months of 2008.
For Ragnarok alone we have the upcoming Server Merge which will bring about the “New Chaos”. The subscription servers of Baldur, Freya, and Tyr will be merged into one entity. I can’t imagine how much this will change the political landscape of the game! New alliances will be born, and I’m sure thousands of Ragnarok players will be coming back to test the game again because of the new community. I’m very excited for this project and this was one of the last things I discussed with a few guild leaders several months ago. I’m happy that it’s finally going to push through.
We also announced new games in Level Up Live 2008 - I’m pretty sure that we’ll be starting testing for those games soon. We have new games for everyone! Hello Kitty, Emil Chronicle, and Rohan Online will attract casual gamers, hardcore gamers, and non-gamers alike. Among the titles though I’m very excited with Hello Kitty because that means we will see more girls come Level Up Live 2009.
Of course the biggest news for November will be the Open Beta of Grand Chase! The newest fighting game of Level Up will definitely be a huge hit in the Philippines. It’s fast paced, action-packed, and very easy to learn. Don’t forget that it’s also Free-to-play. But more than anything, I’m very excited with working with the developers of Grand Chase, KOG Studios. They have a very good reputation on working really fast on bugs, hacks, and cheats.
For Crazy Kart - we’ll be having major patch updates in the coming weeks which will give you guys new maps, karts, and a bunch of items. If you thought that the pinoy jeep, owner, and FX were the only Pinoy things you’ll see in CK, you’re in for a huge surprise!

Crazy Kart Model Cherry “Chek” Kubota
Crazy Kart model Cherry “Chek” Kubota was game enough to do a live blogging chat session during Level Up Live 2008. To those who don’t know Chek, she’s an FHM Babe who was also our model for Perfect World. Now she’s with us for Crazy Kart. The Live Blogging project was very successful and I hope that we continue to have more good content coming up even after Level Up Live 2008. Expect to see more of her during our succeeding events and live promotions. A few more pictures after the jump.

Crazy Kart Booth at Level Up Live
Other than the main stage activities, there are also several side activities that one can enjoy at Level Up LIVE 2008. One of the most visited booths is Crazy Kart. Why? Er… other than the hot booth babes (as you can see above), we also displayed the real life Crazy Kart Drift Car and we also had mini racing cars with steering wheels that would allow you to experience CK on a whole new level. See what I’m talking about after the jump.
Do try to come to Level Up LIVE 2008! You still have the rest of the afternoon. We still have the Cosplay, Orchestra, RWC Finals, and a whole bunch of other activities that everyone can enjoy. Cheers!

Meeting Gaby Dela Merced
I’ve always wanted to blog about the celebrities and politicians that I come across and meet in my life. Since I’ve been thinking of a new gimmick for this blog, I guess now is the best time to do just that. I’m launching a new section called Celebrity Impressions wherein I just talk about my first impressions about celebrities that I meet. For the first post, I’ll talk about Gaby dela Merced, who I had the pleasure of meeting last October 4, 2008, during the Crazy Cart Drift Invitational.

First Impressions
In all honesty, Gaby dela Merced struck me as an ordinary girl when I first saw her. She was wearing a blue sweater-like top, jeans, and sneakers when she arrived in the event venue for the Crazy Kart Drift Invitational. She’s really not too girly, but not too tomboyish as well. She trikes me as your not-so-girl-but-still-a-girl-next-door type. What I mean is that she’s not too maarte and she’s more down-to-earth than your normal celebrity. She also doesn’t come across as mayabang, which is very nice since her presence doesn’t actually drown you out. She blends naturally into the environment that she’s in.
What’s funny is the first thing she wanted to do when she arrived was to play Crazy Kart. At least I know for sure that we’re getting a good endorser since she herself is an avid fan of the game. It’s not like your other endorsers wherein you just pay for the pretty face and the name but they actually don’t use your product. In other words - hindi pilit. Gaby is a gamer and a racer which really makes her the logical choice as the brand ambassador for Crazy Kart. In fact, there was an article published in this blog about Gaby as a gamer several months ago.
To end this post, let me share with you guys the video interview of Gaby dela Merced done by our Multimedia Head, Joey Alarilla. In this video, Gaby talks about how she was selected as the endorser of Crazy Kart and how she became a gamer herself.

Any Level Up event wouldn’t be complete without gorgeous booth girls! That’s what we had for the Crazy Kart Drift Invitational which took place at the parking lot near SMX Convention Center during the Road to Live event that we had on October 4, 2008. Crazy Kart Drift Invitational: First Major EB!
Level Up’s online racing game, Crazy Kart, will be having it’s first ever major real life event on October 4, 2008 at the Mall of Asia. This is actually part of the ROAD TO LIVE event that will also be happening on the same venue. Crazy Kart is one of the fastest growing titles in the Level Up roster so it’s only fitting that we celebrate the success of the game with a party that involves… er… cars! That’s right! The first EB will be a Drift Invitational. We’ll be having several famous Philippine drifters do it ala Initial D!

Be part of the excitement as Crazy Kart and Level Up! Games bring you the 1st Crazy Kart Drift Invitational at the SM Mall of Asia on October 4, 2008 from 10:00AM to 8PM.
16 Drift cars and their pro-drivers including Philippine “Drift King” David M. Feliciano and Atoy Llave of Atoy Body Kits burn rubber compete in single and in tandem competitions!
Practice sessions begin at 10AM and the actual race begins at 2:00PM. After which join the Level Up Family at the SM Music Hall for the Road to Live 2008 concert at 8:00PM.

Crazy Kart 2x EXP & Gold Points
I’ve been playing Crazy Kart for the past few days and I have to say that it’s one of the most fun casual titles I’ve tried in a long while. Anyway, to those who haven’t started yet, here’s a good opportunity for you to catch up. This weekend we’re having the first ever EXP and Gold Bonus for Crazy Kart. It will run the starting Friday (3PM) until Monday (10PM). I’d like to invite all of you to try this game out seeing as there are more than a million Filipinos who registered for it and are now playing. Crazy Kart Reaches 1M Registrations!
Level Up Games’ latest casual free-to-play online game, Crazy Kart, is fast becoming the most played game in the Philippines. This is really blowing us away here at the office because the pace of the growth of the game is simply phenomenal! All around the country, more and more gamers are reving up their Pinoy Jeeps and Owners, scrambling to win their races to earn points. I’ve tried the game myself and it’s insanely fun to play. You won’t focus on the hardcore details like in MMORPGs - all you want to do is log-in, race, and just enjoy a few minutes of casual gaming to de-stress.

Crazy Kart & Be There - Casual Games Galore
I just wanted to do some plugging for the casual games that Level Up is offering. The beauty about casual games is that they don’t require as much time as your average MMORPG. The great traits of a good casual game is that it shouldn’t take too long to play, easy-to-learn, but still difficult to master. It would also help if the casual game is relevant - something that is humorous and really fun for the user. For example, Crazy Kart, Level Up’s latest Casual Game, has a pinoy Jeepney which you can actually drive! For Be There, we’re partnering with local game developers to give you guys pinoy casual online flash-based games.
How about you guys? What’s your favorite casual game?
I’m pretty sure that majority of you will say “DOTA”.
I also got addicted to DOTA for a long time - and it took me months to break out of the habit. That’s actually another good trait of casual games. They’re not totally addictive. They are games that you play when you want to de-stress, unlike MMORPGs wherein you just get stressed. LOL. One of the games I really loved playing before was the now defunct Pangya. I can still remember doing hole-in-ones in Blue Lagoon.
